Oral History workshop led by Thatcher Freund. Mr. Freund is a longtime journalist who has authored two books and written for The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine. In this limited space workshop, students will learn how to become journalists. How to identify a story in their subject and how to retrieve forgotten memories. After this 2.5 hour workshop, students will continue to record interviews with Nolan County residents. They will learn how to use camera equipment and editing software so their stories can be published on the museum's YouTube channel.
Space is limited to no more than 15 students for the workshop. Students entering grades 6th-10th Fall 2017 are eligible to register. You may register through our contact page HERE.
